OK guys have finally manage to catch up on my journal! Sorry it' a bit 'we did this and then we did that!' Just quite hard to remember stuff which has happened a few days ago!
Today's another public holiday as it's Ghandi's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GHANDI! Apparently no one eats meat on this day as Ghandi was a vegetarian. For breakfast we had chicken sausages! To be honest if we'd known about the whole Ghandi's birthday at this point it would have been a good excuse why not to eat the delicious things!
At 10 we went off to see Celine's lawyer about his newspaper article. Overall was a rather weird experience, and am not too sure what to make of the guy. On the one had, he writes this Newspaper, which is basically trying to inform the less informed of what is going on in Indian politics (basically a lot of corruption!), and on the other hand he's writing this extremely stereotypical James Bond style "novel" with lots of AK 47's, tall, beautiful "but bold!" western girls and lots of danger! This he spent the vast majority of the time we were with him talking about, and explaining how he wants us to edit it from the 52 extracts he put it in his newspapers as, so it can be published and made into a book, and at the publishing ceremony he'll be able to say ' oh yes and it was editted by these two lovely English girls here Marty (totally didn't get Maddy's name!) and Sara!' I think generally he's got his head up in the clouds, both with this book publishing business and some of the political ideals I was getting from doing the newspaper. Also have found that most Indians we have talked to here have the idea that England is 'perfect'. On all the bill boards the people's faces are tinted paler etc. It's quite hard to explain but as the only impression they have of England is from books and films they seemed to have taken the most materialistic, stereotypical version of us. How they can deem this as perfect I'm not sure!
Anyway we're off! Have managed to upload some photos from my camera, but onto Maddy's blog as my computer doesn't like my camera!
Also Celine says her computers and internet should be up next we now! We're not holding our breath!

Bit of a hectic week here and somewhat mixed weather after a lovely weekend. Now starting my early morning walks in the dark and nearly drowned ?yesterday morning!
Monty came out for a walk with Bon and I on Wednesday and we gave him a biscuit from you.
G'dad got home safely and sends his love. Pete phoned up to have a quick chat and ask how you were.

Heh, sorry about the laundry comment but you did say on day 6 'Ginny said she'd do our salwar tops'!.... 'and then showed us the rubbish tip'??? Was she suggesting your washing rubbish? Are you getting new outfit to replace the now beige one or are you just going to get really smelly?

Hi Sarah. Have lost the plot this week (so what;s new) and first chance to log on to Peggy's Patch. Really enjoyed reading all your updates and your mother's excellent little piece there. All sounds very different and exciting over there. Interesting to hear that England/Uk is thought of as perfect - bizarre! went on a world tour for some work this week (400 miles plus) and your lovely mum helped out as usual by taking Stinker out for his walk. What a gem (your mum thatis not Stinker). So cold on bike this morning nearly wore my high performance underwear but decided just to put hat on under helmet and warm winter gloves. Are you putting plenty of sun cream on and did you buy the loo roll cos you'r using a lot?

I meant Ginny was going to take our tops in for us not wash them! And I am going to continue to wear it as it's not smelly and it's just the bottoms of the trousers which are a bit beige!
We are hoping to get another outfit or at least top soon though, otherwise we WILL get smelly! But at the moment shopping opportunities looking thin on the ground as we're already busy with lessons we don't know we have until and hour before and that we don't know what we're supposed to be doing for!
Sharon am a little disappointed that you didn't go for the high performance knickers, but glad you're enjoying my entries! Yes I'm putting on factor 50 suncream, and no we were just stocking up so we don't have to get anymore toilet roll in a while!
Anyway I'm off to try and prepare for an English lesson in which I don't know what we're supposed to be teaching and I don't know how long it's supposed to last!

OK - so I finally see reference to lessons in the comments - it was starting to sound like you'd gone under false pretenses to translate some dodgy book. Not sure how proud G'Ma Peggy would be to see your name appended to that!
I'm waiting for the time I call my bank and get the girl from the Indian call center speaking with a Cumbrian accent - they're really bad at trying to fake the American accent.
We're getting ready for G'Pa George and Toby to visit. Just wondering if the kids will hug him this time (last time Daniel said "I don't like people with white hair").
